I like the conclusion that you reached about your business experiences.

I can honestly say that the experiences I have had as a business owner have tempered my character and brought me closer to God. But I believe that’s exactly the point, not just of owning a business, but of life.

Very well said. Too often we don’t look at our trials through this lens. I think it makes all the difference, and we should be looking at what God is trying to teach us through our businesses.

Thanks Casey. I was shocked to see how many of the companies who attended the conference came to us and were bold about their faith in Christ. It seems to me that there are a lot more of us out there than anyone expects….and this is so encouraging. In today’s world we need to support each other more than ever, and I’m interested in finding ways for us to do this. I came away from that conference with a feeling unlike anything else I’ve experienced with a large group of business people, and I would suspect that I’m not the only one who felt this way. The notion of having a faith based business retreat that would focus on building business skills, faith, and fun is something that we’re considering. Thanks for your kind words, you’re an example to us all.

hey Jason this is some good and encouraging stuff. The cofference was great. I really enjoyed the info you and Marcus shared. Its really great to see yall use Godly principals in your business and even when speaking to a room full of businessmen. You guys let Gods light shine. Our prayer is that more men stand up not ashamed to speak what Jesus has done, our what he can do for us.

Thank you Jim. I think the key word you used there is relationships. As business owners we have a tremendous opportunity to bless the lives of others. Whether it’s giving an employee an opportunity to advance, giving a family a really cool product they can use together, or just making someone smile at Wendy’s while we’re getting lunch. We can literally serve God through serving others. If we treat others simply as a means to an end in our businesses we’re selling them and ourselves short. If we have a higher purpose in business than just the green stuff, we can glorify God….and all the rest will take care of itself.
